Open Call for selecting private landowners within the LAND4CLIMATE Project – Lugoj–Caransebeș Pilot Area!
For the past week, we’ve been distributing informative materials to interested municipalities in the pilot area, highlighting the benefits of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) promoted by the LAND4CLIMATE, both for the environment and for local communities. As part of our outreach and engagement efforts, private landowners in the Lugoj–Caransebeș area now have the opportunity to get involved in an innovative project that brings direct benefits to both individuals and the wider community.
We are excited to announce the launch of the call for applications within LAND4CLIMATE for Romania’s pilot area: Lugoj–Caransebeș.
Selected participants will receive support for implementing sustainable land management measures, such as wetland restoration, which contribute to soil protection, water retention, and biodiversity enhancement. These interventions not only help mitigate climate risks like droughts and floods, but also increase the long-term value of the land.
The application period is from May 30 to June 23, 2025, and submissions can be made flexibly: via email, post office, or in person at the Banat Water Basin Administration headquarters in Timișoara. Full details and eligibility criteria are available here on LAND4CLIMATE website (in Romanian), and on Banat Water Basin Administration website, under the LAND4CLIMATE section.
Our message to the community? Get actively involved in protecting the environment and turn your land into a model for climate change adaptation!
