LAND4CLIMATE represented at Horizon Europe.NRW event
On March 14th 2024 the mid-term event "Horizon Europe.NRW - Successes at a glance" on the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation took place in Duesseldorf. The event invited scientists, politicians and representatives from the European economy to dive into the research happening in the context of Horizon Europe projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Minister for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as well as the Minister President welcomed attendees, setting the stage for an exciting day.
The participants gained an insight into what the second half of Horizon Europe holds and were able to join discussions on the role of European funding for research and innovation in finding a solution for societal challenges. Furthermore, best practice examples for research projects in Horizon Europe were show cast to provide examples along the innovation chain from basic research through application-orientated research and development to application and market readiness.
The Technical University of Dortmund presented LAND4CLIMATE in the category of global challenges and Europe’s industrial competitiveness and underlined the importance of utilising private land for mainstreaming nature-based solutions in the systematic transformation towards a climate-resilient Europe.
