The First LAND4CLIMATE Peer-to-Peer Learning Event: Exchange of best practices

On January 16, 2025, through the LAND4CLIMATE project, Czech partners, Krásná Lípa and České Švýcarsko National Park, organized in cooperation the first of the six planned peer-to-peer learning and exchange events. The event was conducted online and brought together representatives from local and regional institutions across all six European regions involved in the implementation of the project’s nature-based solutions (NbS).

The event aimed to promote the implementation of NbS in the regional communities, facilitate the exchange of experiences between pilot and replicating regions to support the expansion and replication of NbS measures, and create a collaborative framework to address the specific climate challenges of each region. In addition, the event aimed to bring together experts, representatives of local authorities, activists and community members from the pilot regions, as well as academic partners interested in the implementation of NbS.

Participants had the opportunity to share lessons learned, challenges faced, and practical solutions. A special emphasis was placed on the importance of cross-border collaboration for the scaling and replication of NbS. The event concluded with a Q&A session, outlining directions for the next Peer-to-Peer event.

Five similar events will be organized by the LAND4CLIMATE project, through its partners from Germany (CEUS), Austria (STMK & BGLD), Italy (DeltaPo), Slovakia (ARR) and Romania (BWBA).
