From 9 to 11 March 2026, LAND4CLIMATE partners gathered in Košice and the Tokaj region for three days of discussion, site visits, workshops and exchanges on how to advance Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for climate adaptation on private land. Hosted by Agency for the Support of Regional Development Košice (ARR), the gathering brought together regional partners, researchers, practitioners and landowners to reflect on project progress, explore local NbS implementation sites and discuss how successful solutions can be upscaled and replicated across different European regions. Participants visited vineyards, rural landscapes and planned NbS sites in the Tokaj area, where measures such as rainfall capture, water retention, soil erosion reduction, biodiversity support and landscape restoration are being explored. The programme also included interactive sessions, peer-to-peer learning exchanges and discussions on regional planning, replication and long-term sustainability.
