LAND4CLIMATE’s First Nature-Based Solution Comes to Life in Germany
This video captures the opening of the first tiny forest and climate park in the County of Euskirchen, a major milestone for the entire LAND4CLIMATE project and especially for the German front-running region.
Held in May 2025, the event marked the first Nature-Based Solution implemented under LAND4CLIMATE. Developed in cooperation with Eugebau, the municipal housing company, the site shows how public and private actors can join forces to boost biodiversity, enhance climate resilience, and create greener, more liveable communities.
The climate park features a variety of native plant habitats that help cool the urban environment and support local ecosystems. Within a decade, the tiny forest will grow into a thriving, self-sustaining woodland.
