We have interviewed Barbora Kovakova, Head of the Regional Development Department of the Košice Self-Governing Region, to understand the importance of implementing Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to strengthen climate resilience across the area. The Košice Region is advancing a climate adaptation strategy and a landscape restoration programme through measures such as rain gardens and other NbS interventions. The regional authority is working directly with Water Councils and stakeholders involved in landscape restoration, while also drawing on the knowledge and diverse perspectives shared by LAND4CLIMATE partners from across Europe.
